Production component control and management system

Intended Use of the Application

The application’s intended use case is management and control over the process of delivering the correct components to manufacturing machines.

The application may be integrated with a client’s general IT system (e.g SAP, JD Edwards etc.) from which production plans and component lists used for specific production requests may be acquired.

By choosing a production request, the manufacturing machine operator automatically informs the component warehouse and the entire machine automation system about the codes of the specific components needed to manufacture the finished product.

Component verification scanners, finished product quality assurance cameras and label printers at the line endpoints are given the correct data without fail.

The component warehouse is informed immediately about current production requests at each of the production lines and about the need for delivery of specific components upon the machine operator’s request.

Correctness of delivered components is verified both at the completion stage and at the delivery to the manufacturing machine stage via the scanning of component barcodes using handheld or stationary scanners.

This approach eliminates the possibility of human error in the process of delivering components to manufacturing machines.

The system is highly scalable, being able to service many production stations, warehouses, control and management stations. The system may provide data for a wide variety of devices – both controlling and labelling: barcode scanners, label printers, quality assurance cameras.
